On Friday, November 7, 2014, the ribbon ceremony of the 5B class was held in the social hall of the Cultural Center in Tisovec.
The official part of the event started with the ceremonial entrance of the students. EGT's principal, Helena Pašiaková, spoke to the lined up students along with all of the other attendees. This was followed by perhaps the most important part of the ceremony - the class teacher Jana Kobelová decorated her fifth-graders with green ribbons. Then, Mrs. Kobelová gave her speech. In her speech, she also mentioned Janko Vatra who did not live to see this ribbon ceremony, but died prematurely as a second-grader.
On behalf of the parents, Mrs Jančíková expressed her impressions and feelings. Then a celebratory drink followed, and after this, the traditional student's anthem “So Let Us Rejoice” was sung. After the song concluded, the school's spiritual leader, Lýdia Naďová, along with the attendees, prayed a short prayer.
Furthermore, after the appetizer, the unofficial part of the ribbon ceremony continued: the student's speech addressed to their parents, the parents' and teachers' dances, the program of the fifth-graders and additional rounds of dancing.

Stužková 5. B
V piatok 7. novembra 2014 sa v spoločenskej sále mestského kultúrneho strediska uskutočnila stužková slávnosť 5. B triedy.
Oficálna časť podujatia začala slávnostným nástupom žiakov. Zoradeným protagonistom a ostatným prítomným sa prihovorila riaditeľka EGT Helena Pašiaková. Potom nasledovala hádam najvýznamnejšia časť slávnosti - triedna učiteľka Jana Kobelová dekorovala svojich piatakov zelenými stužkami. Po odovzdaní stužiek vystúpila triedna so svojím prejavom. Vo svojom, nie dlhom, nápaditom príhovore spomenula aj Janka Vatru, ktorý sa stužkovej nedožil, a predčasne zomrel ako druhák.
Za rodičov vyjadrila svoje dojmy a pocity pani Jančíková. Na rad prišiel slávnostný prípitok a tradičná študentská hymna Radujme sa teda.
Po doznení záverečných tónov piesne sa spolu s prítomými pomodlila školská spirituálka Lýdia Naďová.
Ďalej, po predjedle, pokračovala neoficiálna časť stužkovej s príhovorom žiakov k rodičom, rodičovským a učiteľským tancom, programom piatakov a tanečnou zábavou.
